  1. I think the greatest achievemewas from about 7000 BC a few neolithic communities begin hammering copper into crude knives and sickles, which work as well as their stone equivalents and last far longer. The iron age people where really smart which was like to make fire which was not really easy with the resourses we have today but they sharper brains then. They used thir surrounding more because of the brilliant of the stone age.

  2. The Celts were a proud and honorable people. They were also very clean. The Celts are credited with the invention of soap! My opinion is that this was there greatest achievement because without soap we would never be able to be clean since they would only have water to clean themselves with.

  3. In my opinion the rotary quern was the greatest achievement of the Iron Age. This new domestic invention helped to change the life of the Iron Age people. The rotary quern made of two rounded quern stones, with one placed on top of the other. The top stone would turn around and axle that came up through a hole in its centre, while the bottom stone stayed still. It was used for grinding grains like wheat, barley and rye to make bread and other foods. It allowed food production to rise. I believe this because it was a time saving and life changing invention of the Iron Age.

  4. The Iron Age in Britain lasted from about 700 BC to the Roman Invasion of AD 43. It is called 'Iron Age' as people in that time used to make things out of a metal called iron. People in the Iron Age time used to make most stuff out of iron. Unlike bronze which is poured, iron is worked into shapes by repeatedly heating and hammering against am anvil, a process known as smiting. It is also much harder than bronze and keeps a edge cutting edge for longer.
In the Iron Age the first time they used to make bread became a staple food. They got the breads and made them into crumbs and then they will get a rock and scrub them and they will become into a seed. Fruits like nuts blueberry and more will be collected for food. Wool, from sheep, would've been used to build textiles.

  5. The Iron age Celt were good at loads of things like the Bronze Cauldron, Gold Torc, Spindle whorl, Sword, chariot wheel, and more. In my opinion the soap was the greatest achievement. The Iron age Celt invented soap. I think they invented soap so they could be clean. If the Celt didn't make soup then we wouldn't have soap now. The Celt were very clean. I believe that soap is the greatest achievement because they were clean people.

  6. In the iron age people made essential tools or ornaments like swords and pottery. The iron age people made the idea of smelting metal and even forging weapons. This was an advanced age especially for it's inventions. They weren't able to manufacture steel because a high temperature was needed. In my opinion, agreeing with Deesha, soap was the greatest invention of the iron age because of what it contains inside and how it is used for our daily lives.

  8. The iron age was a time of great invention and progress, where the human brain wad pushed to its tipping point in order to keep its inheritance alive and well. In my opinion, the greatest achievement of the Iron Age was the use of salt and smoke/heat to preserve food like salmon.

  11. If Iron Age warriors had difficulty moving about the battlefield, it is easy to see why. In the Near East, they wore armor made from bronze, iron, or a combination of both. Fashioned like a tunic, the armor might hang as low as the knees and extend all the way to the wrists.Swords of the late Bronze Age tended to be sickle-shaped. But as iron was introduced, the curve of the blade became less pronounced. These swords were more like large daggers and were usually hung in sheaths across the chest or back.

  12. The most greatest achievement in the Iron Age was the rotary Quern. Stone tools were used for hand-grinding a wide variety of materials. They were used in pairs. The lower, stationary, stone is called a quern, while the upper mobile stone is called a handstone. They were first used in the Neolithic to grind cereals into flour.

  13. In in my personal opinion the Iron ages greatest achievement is making amazing tools because without them making them we would not have them now. The reason to why we would not have these tools is because they gave us the idea for these tools and we just edited them. They also gave us ideas for hunting and weapons, alot of weapons are in games so without them we would not have these cool games and much more are linked to these tools.

  15. In Europe, the Iron Age may be defined as including the last stages of the prehistoric period and the first of the proto-historic periods.[1] Iron working was introduced to Europe in the late 11th century BC,[2] probably from the Caucasus, and slowly spread northwards and westwards over the succeeding 500 years. The widespread use of the technology of iron was implemented in Europe simultaneously with Asia.

  16. In my opinion the potters wheel was one of the best achievements during the Iron Age. The potter's wheel had a turning platform about a metre above the floor, connected by a long axle to a heavy flywheel at ground level. This allows the potter to keep the turning wheel rotating by kicking the flywheel with their feet, leaving both hands free to mould the clay into the pots. The reason why I think this is because without the potters wheel it would be difficult to make lots of pots quickly.

  17. In my opinion the greatest achievements of the Iron Age were the making of soap, the use of smoke and heat and the making of salt. If the Iron Age didn't make and use all of these amazing objects we wouldn't have them today.
