We have been looking at lots of important people from Ancient Egypt and we have been discussing what they have achieved in their lifetime. What do you think is the greatest achievement of the Ancient Egyptians?
I believe Hatshepsut is the greatest achievement in Ancient Egypt. Even though she was the very first queen in Egypt, she was the very first queen recored in the whole world, even before Queen Elizabeth I and Cleopatra.
When a young boy became pharaoh. Hatshepsut was the regent of the young boy, that meant she had to do all the work for the little boy.
Hatshepsut is the greatest achievement in Egypt because she was firstly a pharaoh but when she was discovered a women they couldn't force her to stop being a pharaoh because all her achievements as a man were to great so she continued to rule Egypt. That's why I think she's the greatest achievement in Ancient Egypt.
The greatest achievement of Khufu is the Great Pyramids of Giza, Queen Hatsheput's greatest achievement was the most famous temple called Djrusa - Djrusu, Tutankhamen's greatest achievement was to change the religion back to believing in the almighty god Ra ( or Re ).

Ancient Egyptians were responsible for many great achievements. I am going to describe my top 5 Ancient Egyptian achievements.
At No 5 - OBELISK
An obelisk was a monument made of stone. Each obelisk was placed in a public place. In ancient Egypt, obelisks were often built in pairs. Some were not very high. But some were seventy feet (70 feet!) tall.
Obelisks had writing on them. Each told a short story about someone or something. These stories help us understand more about the ancient Egyptians.
Most obelisks were commissioned by pharaohs, but anyone could build one if they had the money.
At No 4 - CALANDER
The Egyptians had also invented the calendar which also had 365 days but was circular. They invented the calendar to see what time of year the river Nile would flood.
At No 3 - PAPYRUS
Papyrus was used to write on. The papyrus was very dangerous to harvest as it grew near the river. The harvesters had to sing loud to keep away the hippos, crocodiles and snakes. Lots of people died while harvesting the papyrus.
At No 2 – NILOMETER
The Nilometer was used to see how high the water level of the river Nile is and also to predict when the Nile would flood.
And my favourite at No1 is – The PYRAMIDS
To build the pyramids the Egyptians had to become more advanced in mathematics, engineering and astronomy. During the design of pyramids they discovered Pi (i.e. 3.1472...).
Other key achievements of the ancient Egyptians include:
(6) CARCOPHAGUS / MUMMYFICATION (7) FLAT ROOF HOMES (8) COURTS and JUSTICE SYSTEM (9) A WRITTEN LANGUAGE (10) NUMBER SYSTEM INCLUDING FRACTIONS
It is clear that the pyramids of Giza is the greatest achievement in the ancient Egyptian times. There are 3 pyramids in Giza the biggest one is the great pyramid. It took 4500 people and 20 years to build one pyramid, imagine how hard the people who built the pyramids worked also each block weighs 2-70 tons!!! It took 13500 people and 60 years to build all 3 pyramids . The great pyramid is 147m tall and the other to pyramids were slightly smaller. Since the Egyptians did not have great technology they used their brains to reach the top of the pyramid to finish it of, this shows how clever the Egyptians were, however the other achievements were far more easier to do. The great pharaoh Khufu was burried in the great pyramid.
I think the greatest achievement in Egypt is Queen/Pharaoh Hatshepsut. She was married to her half brother ThutmoseII and her father was ThutmoseI.
I think Hatshepsut is the greatest achievement in Egyptian history because she took ambitious building projects while she was a pharaoh. A very famous building she created was the amazing Mortuary Temple, that's located at Deir el-Bahri. Hatshepsut was first ruled as regent for her step son ThuthmosisIII. When people soon found out that Hatshepsut was a women they couldn't force her to stop ruling Egypt because her achievement were far to great.
I think the greatest achievement in ancient Egyptian history is when Hatshepsut had built a royal mortuary temple and since she was the 3rd Egyptian pharaoh as a women.
I think the greatest achievement of the Egyptians was the pyramids of Giza. Three pyramids in Giza are the largest structures and one of the pyramids is the biggest pyramid in the world, it is called the great pyramid Which is by far the biggest. These pyramids are so famous more than thousands of tourists visit them every year. Giza's pyramids made Egypt's reputation bigger and has tombs of some famous Pharaohs of that time. There are over 80 pyramids in Egypt, but I picked these ones because they are the most amazing thing that has ever happened in Egypt. They even tower over sky scrapers.
I think there greatest achievement was when Ramases signed the peace treaty and built lots and lots of statues and when Hatsheput disguised as a man to be worshipped more.
I think the greatest achievement that Hatshepsut did was that she got to pretend she was a man to be Pharaoh. She still got to be Pharaoh when she told them she was woman. When she ruled it was peaceful there was no wars. Her brother died when she was child. Hatshepsut was a strong and powerful Pharaoh. Hatsheput has a temple in Deir el -Bahri. She was the first woman Pharaoh.
I think the greatest egyptian achievement is the pyramids because it was the greatest build of that time.It was the only place that pharoahs were buried.
I think the greatest achievement of Egyptian was the Pyramid of Giza because it is the Pyramid in Egypt. Each Pyramid at Giza was connected to the River Nile by a canal. The largest of the pyramids at Giza is that of King Khufu or Cheops 2589-2566 BC. inside Khufu's pyramid is a passageway that leads up inside the pyramid to the king burial chamber. As you near the burial chamber inside Khufu’s pyramid, the passageway is constructed out of very large blocks of stone and it it is very hot and stuffy inside.
I think the greatest achievement of Egyptians was the pyramids of Giza. This is clear because it took the workers quite a long time as the biggest pyramid is called the great pyramid. The pyramids structure has a the sphinx and a lion type of back.It took about 4500 people to build a pyramid,in those times they did not have the best technology so technically they used there brains.
KHUFU Historical evidence suggests that Khufu was a very important character in Egypt as he built the historical pyramids of Giza. Also not much of his life story was known yet he is still one of the most well known people in history. To add to that, as well as for filling the duty of pharaoh Khufu had to look after his 5sons and 4 daughters.
I think that the pyramids of Giza are the greatest achievement because they are world famous.Architects and builders still marvel at how they created such well built structures with quite primitive equipment. They also were the only things that Pharaohs were buried in.
I think there greatest achievement was when Ramases signed the peace treaty and built lost of statues and when Hatsheput disguised as a man to be worshipped more.
